Gary Farr, Tucker
Gary was introduced to wine through retailing when soon after leaving school he worked for some of Melbourne's prestigious wine specialists. He completed, with distinction, the wine marketing course at Roseworthy College, which included the basis of winemaking techniques. After Roseworthy he joined the Yellowglen – Bannockburn partnership.
Not content with the results of traditional Australian winemaking techniques of the time, Gary's true education began in 1983 when he completed his first vintage at Domaine Dujac of Burgundy. For over a decade Gary has continued to follow vintage at Bannockburn with vintage at Domaine Dujac becoming one of Australia's most valuable winemakers.
Gary lives at Bannockburn, is married to Robin and has three children.
